I believe that fashion is a very multidisciplinary field, which derives inspiration from the interior design, architecture, movies and popular culture and art. As art is a very prominent part of my life, I wanted to show you 3 paintings that I have been obsessed with this winter and my visions of what clothes would be a perfect match for the message that artist was trying to convey in the paintings.

Artist: Laura Brainard Raborn

I discovered Laura Brainard Raborn's art while browsing through the SouthWest Art Magazine. I spent significant time on her website, and I am thoroughly enchanted with this painting. The artist resides in Arkansas, and the universe of her art is just making you want to forget about your daily troubles. It makes me dream of a perfect occasion to wear this dress with jewelry and shoes. Luckily for me, the opportunity might happen this Summer.  It is a very romantic fashion capsule consisting of the pastel necklace from Saloukee, a pearl ring from Solomeina, maxi kimono dress from the Danish brand Stine Goya and white sandals from Tabitha Simmons.

Artist: Txetxu Gonzalez

This is not the first time on this blog that I have mentioned my Madrid-based artist friend, Txe Gonzalez.  His paintings make your imagination go wild, and when it comes to fashion choices, it is a great inspiration for an evening outfit with a dramatic flare.

I decided to select a scarf from the collaboration between the writer/artist Miranda July and Iracema Trevisan for Heart Heart Heart, which seems like a darling object in every Indie fashionista's wardrobe. The quote on the scarf says: "Do you feel my breath on your lips? That's how close to me she was. When I said Please she just laughed and by the time I opened my eyes she was looking at her phone." Who can resist that? All you need to complete this look \is a little black dress from Polish brand that I love SHE/S A RIOT and the sexy pair of shoes from one of the pioneers of the girl-boss movement in fashion industry Tamara Mellon.

Artist: Clare Elsaesser

The last but not least, this winter I have discovered Clare Elsaesser's paintings thanks to Dree Hemingway's Instagram account, which is one of my favorite feeds of inspiration. Clare is a painter living in Inverness, California. I love the nostalgic and feminine touch in her paintings and echoes of longing for a never-ending summer that I sense when I look at them. There is something so magical about the print "My Love" for me that soon it will be hanging on my bedroom's wall. I just want to wear Shiny Black Dress from Zadig & Voltaire with minimal but making a mark accessories such as beautiful Columbian handmade saddle bag from Kalamari and navy sandals with the chunky heel from Whistles.

Who are your favorite artists? Does art have an impact on your personal style?
Have a great week!
