We have made it through the first and usually the most frustrating month of the year, so let's welcome February with fresh enthusiasm and hunger for new apps that can make our life easier and more exciting!!!

Let's start with INDIE SHUFFLE. As I have always been a music geek, this app/website is my dream coming true. Created by Jason Grishkoff, the app gathers a team of international writers who bring their personal favorites from such genres as indie, electronic, hip-hop to all those types of music that I was just unaware of. It is like as if a bunch of your music loving friends gathered all their music obsessions, very not mainstreamed ones, and hosted a party for your ears only. For all of us who love exploring new sounds, this place is a paradise. Only here, could I find such artists Drishti Beats, who are revolutionizing background music for all the yoga practitioners and make it so fun that you might start involuntary exercising your dance moves during one of the asanas. Check it out for such incredible acts as Alohaha (best Sunday mood Indie album of this year, in my opinion), Kina Puru (Australian female vocalists whose voice gives me goosebumps) or incredibly nostalgic electronic duo Hugh and their song "Direction."

VILLOID, which got a lot of media buzz because of its co-founder Alexa Chung, a real darling of the fashion world, is a perfect "toy" app for those who love sharing visual collages all over the social media with the ability to purchase all the featured clothes with one click. The app is referred to as the cross between "Pinterest and Instagram" and is my favorite sleepless night guilty pleasure, especially as it allows you to incorporate your own pictures and inspirations.

Now, let's introduce the apps which can make your everyday existence more productive, healthy and happy. Maple is a New York-based food delivery service that has been in operation for almost a year. What makes this app different from Seamless or other similar ones, is that there are some incredible culinary minds behind it. There are a few simple lunch and dinner dishes available for you to try from Monday to Friday, nothing too complicated but certainly things you would like to prepare by yourself if you had the time or you were not stuck in the office for 10 or more hours a day. The healthy and nutritious ingredients are always listed with every dish and prices are very affordable. The food is delivered in a very visually appealing packaging and right on time with just one click on your phone. I tried their lunch last week, and their mushroom salad was a real delight,; fresh, simple and just the right size. I would definitely try their dinner option one day. For all those who feel guilty that they are not preparing healthy and savory dishes for themselves at home, this is a very peaceful solution.

Finally, we have VINA, referred by the FAST COMPANY "as a new Tinder-esque app, which helps to find platonic relationships between women." All women know how hard it is to find female friends in adult life and what the app promises are a match of the perfect brunch buddies, travel companions, business mentors, workout friends based on mutual interests and existing female friend connections on Facebook. It launched last week in San Francisco. Hopefully, soon, I will be able to report how useful those matches are.

Let me know which apps you are willing to try in February, and I am always looking forward to your personal recommendations!!! Have a happy February!
