Whenever I am facing the challenge of packing for a summer vacation, I try to delay it until very last moment. That dreadful task always ends up with two scenarios: either overpacking or desperately missing some things that I wished I had put inside my suitcase back home. This summer I decided to use a different approach and think like a fashion-loving outcast who because of some mysterious circumstances ended up on the desert island. What would be ten essential pieces of clothing I would need there to feel comfortable? Let's check what I included on my packing list.
My first set focuses on comfort. If it is hot and sunny, I need breathable and soft fabrics, sporty cuts and joyful colors. Dungarees are not something I have worn in a very long time. However, this pair of navy, figure-flattering pants from Plumo remind me of movies about summer in the south of France. All I need is a modern version of a sailor stripe t-shirt, matching or contrasting stripe sliders paired with a minimal bracelet from a Polish brand Mood Jewellery and a large straw basket that can fill whatever I decide to carry during daily long walks.
Earrings, Tuleste, / Shirt, Arket / Sandals, Tamara Mellon / Straw Bag, Loeffler Randall
Hat, John Callanan / Skirt, Maje

The second set is for evening parties or cloudy days filled with the exciting prospect of sightseeing for hours. I love maxi skirts this summer, and this particular one from Maje with the ruffles and the asymmetric front is perfect for every demanding fashionista on vacation. Extra pair of shoes can be an additional burden in a small suitcase, so it matters that your fancy sandals are light, especially if you are planning to take more than one pair of shoes for your trip. For finishing your summer-inspired look, you need a few eye-catching accessories: a hat which not only protects you from the sun but also immediately makes everyone jealous and aware f a fact that you are on vacation. I love this straw bag inspired by the spirit of the Mexican all-inclusive trips and a pair of hand-made earrings which call for a fun night out. I need only some SPF and a book to read (Right now it is "My Antonia" by Willa Cather, and I am ready to go!
What do you have in your suitcases this summer? Bon Voyage!
