My February Favorites

I was shocked when I found out that I haven't written anything here since September 2017. Sincere apologies to all my readers as it came as a complete surprise to me. Time flies, and we quickly get engrossed in current and urgent matters forgetting what brings us infinite joy. For me, this blog has always been as fulfilling as it gets. I just needed a reminder.

As February is one of the gloomiest months of the year, I wanted to share my favorite mood-pleasers that work regardless of the weather outside.

  1. Dolly Alderton "Everything I Know About Love." Dolly is one of my favorite journalists, and I shared my love for her work, personality and "High&Low" podcast at least few times on this blog. I am so happy for her success as she truly deserves it. I will write more about her new book soon, as I am still waiting for it to be delivered. In the meantime, please check her new podcast "Love Stories with Dolly Alderton." The way she conducts her first interview is a pure delight for anyone who appreciates excellent journalism with a human touch.
  2. Astro Styles-Horoscopes by the Astrotwins. I am not a huge believer in astrology, however, these particular horoscopes, which you can read daily, weekly or whenever your heart desires, are so fun and written in such a beautiful language that even on the most depressing gloomy winter day, there is a guarantee they will cheer you up.
  3. The Pool. Here comes the best online destination for daily news on fashion, politics, beauty to food delivered most concisely for all those who are too busy to actually read or watch regular news. The website created by brilliant women for other women to enjoy. Two thumbs up!
  4. Vogue Polska. Finally, my dream on the Polish edition of Vogue is coming true. I cannot wait for it to be delivered and for sure I will share my insights on the first issue here.

If February seems to be all about wearing sweats and snowshoes for you, I hope my fashion inspirations will bring Spring to your hearts much faster than you will see in in the actual calendar. I collected here a mixture of international brands, which I hope most of you don't know yet. From now on Rowby, the LA-based label,  is my go-to destination for intelligent statement t-shirts. If you are a jewelry minimalist like me, look no further, Umiar, a Polish brand is your new favorite. You need a coat with a Scottish twist and Anna Karenina-feel, you will find it only on Vicher's website. Finally, to finish the look with a statement piece, which brings colors back to this dreary winter, I chose a pair of earrings from a British wonder, Toolally.

With all those mind and body boosters, I feel like I am leaving you, my readers, smiling and optimistic. Until next time!

Necklace, UMIAR
