MUGS: MAMSAM

WATCH, NECKLACE, AND BOX: Sztuka Wyboru

With only two weeks left to Christmas, I had to rush into importing all my inspiring finds into your Christmas shopping list. I start the first round of Christmas gift inspirations with a hint of patriotism. As I am currently living in Warsaw, I would like to share some of the incredibly original objects designed by the Polish artists, illustrators, and designers. If you are not planning to visit Poland anytime soon, most of my recommendations are available online.

Let's start with "something for the house." When I see the mugs above, I have a vague memory of the school canteen, if only back then this beautiful typography was part of their design. What is great about this collection is that you can order a mug custom-made with any city you like. Paris looks really chic!

Whether you are looking for a perfect piece of jewelry or some tiny decoration piece that will change the character of the entire interior, Sztuka Wyboru should be your online destination. This hub of creativity, concept store located in Gdansk not only dazzles with its impressive interiors but also will offer you everything from books, clothes to seminars.
POSTERS from NIOSKA
The tradition of Polish poster art gives us many reasons to be super proud of our local artists and illustrators. My latest discovery is Katarzyna Bogucka whom  I fell in love when I saw the collection of her posters titled "I am reading here!", like the blue one above.
If you like to encourage your little ones to discover beautiful illustrations from a splendid series of books by the publishing house Dwie Siostry, choose the t-shirts below as your Christmas surprise for boys and girls. Pictures speak louder than words, and the illustrations by Miroslaw Pokora are like opera in my years;)

MASTERS OF  ILLUSTRATION FOR CHILDREN COLLECTION:

As always on this blog, I encourage you to seek for the gifts which are not advertised on the pages of your favorite glossy magazines. When you purchase gifts this pre-Christmas time, remember that they can be meaningful and unique so they could be recognized for many years to come.
More soon! Stay warm!
