Summer time and getting dressed is so easy. The prime reason for that are dresses. I love that feeling when I open the door of my closet in the morning and the whole process of getting dressed is minimized to slipping into one of the light and comfortable dresses I like, which of course, I never think I have enough of. Dresses make hot weather so easy if they are made of high quality breathing materials like organic cotton, silk or rayon. There are so many flattering fits and lengths to choose from. I have to admit that 80% of my closet consists of dresses. I am the ultimate dress lover. Therefore, I am always on the mission to find the next perfect dress and that is how I found the heaven for modern dress lovers like me, The Rising States boutique.
The Rising States NYC, is a great fashion destination located in a Lower Manhattan, which is owned by Meagan Delaney. She opened it almost two years ago, after leaving her job in PR. She wanted to sell local labels and international rising star designers and create a neighborhood spot for girls who have similar fashion taste and love to meet like-minded people. I cannot wait to visit the store during one of the Summer weekends. I rarely find so many things I like in one single place. As Summer has just started torturing us with humidity and super high temperatures, dresses are in high demand. From maxi, flattering fit and flare, white dress with vintage floral drawings, silk party dress with funky pink fringe to a beautiful indigo office appropriate dress, I want them all!
