I have just come back from a super exciting trip to visit my friend and see his new project:

White Mountain Hostel in Conway, New Hampshire. The weather in the mountains is still very unpredictable, so before my journey, I was trying to do some research online to find a stylish and practical packing guide for going for the weekend trip in the mountains and I was not really successful. Therefore, I decided to prepare my own little list of things that is quite universal for any trip you will take at the beginning of spring when it is still hard to predict how cold or warm it might be. I divided my guide into a few categories, including a luxurious and budget-friendly option for each.

ESSENTIAL CLOTHES
For an outdoorsy weekend, we need something warm and light and there is nothing better than high-quality cashmere-like Burberry Hooded Cardigan or really nice and warm Stella McCartney for Adidas Cotton Hoodie.
A basic cotton t-shirt is a total must. You can purchase a more affordable version from J.Crew or a bit more high-end from Boss Orange. I found this item of clothing to be most versatile on my trips. You can wear it while hiking or if you pair it with a luxurious scarf or colorful scarf it will be perfect for a romantic dinner.

ESSENTIAL COSMETICS
I found out that nothing is as needed in changing weather conditions as good lip balm and protective hand cream. I tested Gardeners hand cream many times before and I think it is amazing quality for a very nice price. For those who are looking for luxury from the highest price points, La Mer Hand Treatment beloved by celebrities all over the world might be the answer.
For the lips, I chose  Jurlique Rose Love Balm, which I tested before many times. It is packed with natural ingredients and leaves hands super smooth. For those looking for more deluxe brands, I recommend natural oil-based Sisley Nutritive Lip Balm.

ESSENTIAL READS
I bring a book from every trip I take. It is one of my most beloved traditions. I am a big fan of used books and finding a rare one like Ingrid Bergman-My Story for just $1 is a big treat to me.
For those who like reading Scandinavian crime stories with deep psychological background, I highly recommend The Cold Song by Lin Ullmann, which is an excellent travel page-turner.

I am looking forward to hearing about your travel essentials!
Bon Voyage!
